Two evenings in a short time – on Friday and on Wednesday – the police have been alerted to Skaraborg's air force wing, F7 Såtenäs, since "shot-like" sounds have been heard in the vicinity.
We take this seriously and are taking the necessary measures. I cannot go into details about exactly how this affects our operations. But we have made some adjustments to our security protection so that we can continue our work, says Mattias Ottis, wing commander at F7, to Nya Lidköpings-Tidningen.
The police are categorizing both incidents as offenses against the weapons law, reporting, among others, Ekot in Sveriges Radio.
There are ongoing preliminary investigations, says the police's press spokesperson Tamara Fuentes to the radio.
At F7, between Lidköping and Trollhättan, Swedish and foreign Jas 39 Gripen pilots are being trained, among others.
