The woman, who is in her 35s, was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. The man was arrested at the scene under calm conditions and later taken into custody, reports P4 Sörmland .
Both the man and the woman are residents of the nursing home, according to police.
The incident occurred at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
