A man who provided information to the police about a murder on a jogging trail in Eskilstuna in 2018 is suing the state for 31 million kronor, reports SVT News Sörmland.
The man lives with a protected identity as protection against revenge-seeking criminals after testifying in the trial following the murder.
He believes that the police and prosecutor unlawfully revealed his identity before the trial.
Together with his lawyer Sebastian Scheiman, he is suing the state to receive compensation for himself and his family having lost, among other things, their home, possessions, and the opportunity for a normal life.
Sebastian Scheiman confirms to the TV channel that the lawsuit is being filed.
