The footage comes from a private Instagram account, which SVT found during its high-profile investigation of the boarding school in Värmland. The images show students fighting and performing degrading acts.
"With regard to the films that appear in the documentary, we believe that there are circumstances that could form the basis for a criminal prosecution," local police chief Fredrik Bäcker told SVT.
The police are also in dialogue internally and with prosecutors about how the case should be handled further, says Bäcker. He also urges parents to report crimes if their children have been victimized.
In SVT's investigation, students, former staff and parents testify about hazing, racism and violence at the boarding school.
