Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk says that there is no reason for Ukraine to give in to Russia.
Ukraine is a victim of aggression. It is Russia that must come to its senses. I am certain that Ukraine will participate - it must – in all talks about the future. But we must all ensure that these talks do not lead to unfair decisions, said Tusk during a visit to Lviv in eastern Ukraine on Tuesday.
Tusk's visit took place ahead of the talks that Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj will hold with NATO Chief Mark Rutte and several EU leaders in Brussels, likely on Wednesday evening.
The meeting will deal with "how Ukraine can urgently strengthen its positions on the battlefield, politically and geopolitically", said Zelenskyj at the meeting with the Polish Prime Minister.
