Sweden's U21 national team continues to struggle in the European Championship qualifying. After two consecutive defeats, a third blow came on Tuesday evening – when Poland won with the tennis score 6–0 at Stadsparksvallen in Jönköping.

After the victory against Armenia in the premiere, Sweden has lost momentum in the qualifying rounds for the U21-European Championship 2027. First came the defeats against Montenegro and Italy – and against Poland it became yet another evening to forget for Daniel Bäckström's men.

Sweden had a nightmare start. Already after five minutes, the defense made a mistake in their own half, and Poland's Tomasz Pienko thanked them for the invitation by coolly scoring 1–0 behind André Picornell.

After 20 minutes came the next blow when Pienko got the chance from eleven meters, and the striker made no mistake to make it 2–0.

Just before the break, it got even worse. After a quick Polish counterattack, Kacper Urbanski could head in 3–0.

Like against Italy last week, Sweden went to the break with a three-goal deficit – and was met with scattered boos from the stands at Stadsparksvallen.

The second half was also a nightmare. Poland won in the end with a whole 6–0 and the Swedish U21 national team has now, just like the A-team, played three consecutive qualifying matches without scoring a goal.
