At least six people have been killed in Russian attacks on Ukraine during the night towards Sunday. President Volodymyr Zelenskyj appeals again for support to counter the "Russian air terror".

The authorities in Ukraine report that at least 18 people have been injured in tonight's attacks, writes Kyiv Independent.

Zelenskyj writes on X that "over 50 rockets and around 500 drones" were fired at nine of the country's regions.

The President is once again urging the USA and Europe to put pressure on Russia's President Vladimir Putin to stop the war.

"A unilateral ceasefire regarding airspace is possible – and it could open the way for real diplomacy", writes Zelenskyj.

In Lviv, the governor reports that two people have been killed in Russian attacks on the region, which is located about seven miles from NATO country Poland's border. Poland reacted during the early morning hours by sending up fighter jets.

The neighboring country has also put its ground defense on high alert, especially in areas near the Ukrainian border.

In Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine, a woman was killed and six people were injured in Russian drone attacks. Among the injured is a 16-year-old girl.

During the week, Russia has targeted Ukrainian gas pipelines and infrastructure in large-scale attacks.

"We need more protection and faster implementation of all defense agreements, especially air defense, to stop all this air terror", writes Zelenskyj.
