The French football star Paul Pogba is firmly convinced that he will return to football after his doping ban.

The nightmare is over. I'm looking forward to coming back, he says to L'Equipe TV.

Pogba tested positive for testosterone in August 2023 after a match with his club team Juventus. In February, the Italian anti-doping organization announced that the Frenchman would be banned for four years, but at the beginning of October, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) reduced the penalty to 18 months.

Pogba – who has made 92 appearances for France – has a contract with Juventus until 2026 and can return to football on March 11 next year. Four days later, the Frenchman will turn 32 years old.
