Nils-Åke Hasselmark has fallen asleep peacefully at his home, surrounded by friends, after a period of illness, his relative Laila Nygren told TT.
Hasselmark debuted in 1957 with the poetry collection "Poems over a broken garden." In 2024, his latest collection, "Nobody's Beach," was published.
He has published a large number of poetry collections and has been awarded several prizes, including the Bellman Prize from the Swedish Academy in 2024 and the Swedish Radio Poetry Prize twice, in 1985 and 2025.
