The men behind "The War History Podcast" have busy days. This summer, they are releasing the TV series "The War Machine Sweden" on SVT. And in the fall, the trio is publishing their second book: "The People's Home at War".
Per Wallin, Mattis Bergwall, and Fredrik Hagelin have been running "The War History Podcast" for several years, a humorous podcast that tells stories about both historical and contemporary battlefields and conflicts.
Last year, the trio's debut book "Military F***-ups" received the Adlibris Prize in the category of non-fiction literature of the year. In the book "The People's Home at War", they depict Swedish military successes and setbacks throughout the centuries – from Gustav II Adolf to today's NATO membership.
"The response to the previous book has been incredible from our enthusiastic readers. It shows that the threads of history run straight into our present, where we can see eerie parallels between the defense decisions just before World War II and the Swedish Armed Forces' buildup now", say Wallin, Bergwall, and Hagelin in a press release.
