The Swedish Central Bank reported a surplus of 36 million kronor for 2024, compared to 16.9 billion the previous year.

The profit is, however, not large enough to result in any dividend to the state.

"The Swedish Central Bank's General Council has decided that the Swedish Central Bank's result for 2024 shall be allocated so that the profit of 36 million kronor is transferred to the Swedish Central Bank's reserve fund", it is stated in a press release.

After the transfer, the bank's own capital amounts to 23 billion kronor. For a profit to be distributed, the bank's own capital must exceed the target of 63 billion kronor.
