Last week, news broke that "GTA VI" will only be available for purchase digitally, or as a code in a box.
Now, PlayStation has announced that it will stop selling physical game discs entirely by 2028, citing that the “general preference for digital media has significantly overtaken physical discs.” But many gamers are upset and believe that this will mean the end of the second-hand market and make it more difficult to preserve gaming history.
PlayStation also recently shut down the digital stores for PS3 and PS Vita in some regions, showing that digital games only exist for a limited time.
