With a few rounds left in the regular season, it's a busy time for teams in the middle of the standings.
For Winnipeg and Seattle, the situation could have looked better, as both were several places below a playoff spot in the NHL's Western Conference before tonight's game.
Winnipeg managed the situation best and, after a difficult start, gained momentum on offense. The match ended 6–2.
The team is now in tenth place, one point behind eighth place and a wildcard spot for the playoffs. Things look bleaker for Seattle, who are in 13th place with 75 points.
