The red-green majority in the city of Stockholm has agreed to move forward with this project, says Social Democratic finance mayoral candidate Emilia Bjuggren, according to Aftonbladet.
The arena will be located in the Globen area, possibly on the existing site of Hovet, the classic but worn-out ice hockey arena from 1955.
"We have been talking for decades about needing a new hockey arena. Now we have taken the first step," says Djurgården CEO Matthias Sånemyr, according to Aftonbladet.
