Two aircraft were just meters from colliding on a runway at the airport in Nice on Sunday evening.
The incident is being investigated and is described by France's aviation safety authority (BEA) as a "serious incident", reports The Independent.
Two parallel runways are located very close to each other at the airport, which is believed to have been a contributing factor to the incident. One of the planes had mistakenly landed on the wrong runway, which may have been due to poor weather conditions.
No injuries have been reported.
