At least twelve people have died since a small plane crashed into the sea off Honduras.
The plane was on its way to the port city of La Ceiba from the popular tourist island of Roatán in the Caribbean Sea. Immediately after taking off, the plane made a sharp turn and crashed into the water, according to authorities.
The plane almost landed on us, says a fisherman to the local TV channel HCH.
Among the deceased are, according to local media, the Honduran musician and politician Aurelio Martínez. Five people were alive when they were pulled out of the sea after the crash, including a French citizen.
