The animated success film "Coco" from Disney and Pixar gets a sequel, writes Variety.
Disney's CEO Bob Iger revealed the plans during the company's annual general meeting. "Coco 2" is expected to have its cinema premiere in 2029.
The film is still in the development stage, but we know that it will be full of humor, heart, and adventure, he said.
"Coco", which came in 2017, takes place in Mexico and is about the little boy Miguel who dreams of becoming an artist but ends up among the skeletons in the land of the dead.
The film became a major success among both critics and the audience and has won a number of different awards. At the 2018 Oscars, "Coco" was awarded the prize for best animated film and best song, "Remember me".
