After missing the Stanley Cup playoffs two years in a row, Rickard Rakell's and Erik Karlsson's coach in Pittsburgh, Mike Sullivan, gets fired.

Sullivan was in Pittsburgh for ten seasons and led the Penguins to Stanley Cup gold in 2016 and 2017.

It was not an easy decision, but as we continue to navigate the Penguins through this transition period, we felt that this was the best direction for all parties involved, says general manager Kyle Dubas according to nhl.com.
