McLaren's Oscar Piastri took his first Formula 1 victory when he won the Hungarian GP at Hungaroring outside Budapest.
The 23-year-old Australian won with 2.1 seconds ahead of teammate Lando Norris, who started in pole position, and 14 seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes.
It's very special. This is what I've dreamed of since I was a little boy, says Piastri according to NTB.
For Dutch World Championship leader and reigning World Champion Max Verstappen, Red Bull, the winning streak continues. Verstappen, who won the first seven races of the year and has won the World Championship for the past three years, finished fifth in Sunday's race. Despite finishing outside the podium in two consecutive races, he leads the overall standings ahead of Norris.
