Briton Norris now leads the overall standings by 22 points to second-placed Piastri. Third-placed Max Verstappen – the Red Bull driver is the reigning champion – is 25 points behind Norris heading into Sunday's Grand Prix.
The Formula 1 season ends in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, next weekend.
Norris can secure his first World Championship title as early as Sunday if he takes four points more than teammate Piastri and one point more than Verstappen.
George Russell, Mercedes, came second in Saturday's sprint race. Verstappen finished fourth.
