Pia Sundhage, a former footballer and national team coach for Sweden, the USA, Brazil and Switzerland, is receiving the award for her great commitment to sport and club life, her spontaneity and her ability to reach people.
The Loket Award was presented for the first time in 2025, when it went to radio personality Christian Olsson.
The award is presented by Folkspel (a Swedish nonprofit lottery organization) and Bingolotto (a Swedish TV bingo game), which want to highlight a person, association or organization that “works in a context that Leif ‘Loket’ Olsson would have appreciated.”
Sundhage is being recognized in connection with Bingolotto’s 35th anniversary on TV4 on November 1.
