Under one and the same concert on Wednesday evening, a few dozen phones disappeared from the audience when the American metal band Slipknot was on stage, according to the police.
A few dozen people have come and said that they have lost their mobile phone. After the concert, we found a lot of empty mobile phone cases on the ground in front of the stage, says Thomas Johansson, who is the police spokesperson at the festival.
The police have not had the opportunity to track down the phones and have not either any leads on the thief or thieves. Thomas Johansson does not know if any observations have been made that can lead the police in the right direction.
It's part of the experience that you stand tightly and there are a few pushes back and forth, so I can understand that people haven't noticed anything or thought about it, says Johansson.
He urges festival-goers to keep a closer eye on their phones to reduce the risk of them being stolen.
It's extremely important that we get the message out that you shouldn't have the phone in your back pocket, says Johansson.
