The cult classic horror movie "Friday the 13th" will get a prequel series. The cast includes Swedish Phoenix Parnevik, writes Aftonbladet.
The new series has been named "Crystal Lake" and will follow the life of main character Pamela Voorhees before the events of the first "Friday the 13th" movie.
23-year-old Parnevik will play a character named Barry and is described by Variety as a "recurring guest star".
Phoenix Parnevik had one of the roles in the Gyllene Tider movie "Sommartider" which premiered last year. There he played the drummer Micke "Syd" Andersson.
The first "Friday the 13th" movie premiered in 1980. Since then, eleven more films have been released, the latest in 2009.
