Dela Rosa, the former police chief who served under former President Rodrigo Duterte, is wanted by the ICC for allegedly ordering the killing of thousands between 2016 and 2018 as part of Duterte's "war on drugs."
"I want to confirm that Philippine law enforcement agencies have now been tasked with arresting Congressman Ronald 'Bato' dela Rosa," Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida told reporters.
Duterte himself has been accused by the ICC of crimes against humanity and is in custody.
