Philip Lindkvist-Fløtten, born and raised in Norway but competing for Sweden, won a historic JVM gold medal in biathlon at Arber, Germany, on Saturday.
The 19-year-old shot clean in the 15-kilometer race's four shooting bouts and finished 46.7 seconds ahead of France's Leo Carlier and another minute and a half ahead of Estonia's Jakob Kulbin.
According to SVT, Lindkvist-Fløtten's gold was the first for Sweden on the men's side since Mattias Nilsson's JVM gold in sprint 24 years ago, in 2002 in Italy.
The biathlon World Championships for girls, boys and juniors will continue until Sunday, March 8.
