Philadelphia is in a good form. In the last eight games, there have been six victories. The most recent came against Buffalo, where a dream minute in the first period paved the way for a 5–2 victory.

Samuel Ersson saved 24 shots for Philadelphia as the team largely outplayed Buffalo at home.

Buffalo did take the lead with a power play goal scored by Jason Zucker after four minutes of play.

At 8:26, Travis Konecny opened the scoring for Philadelphia. 59 seconds later, both Trevor Zegras and Bobby Brink had added points for the home team.

Most things seemed to go against Buffalo, who found themselves further behind just two minutes into the second period.

Bowen Bryam did add to the score with his 2–4 goal. However, before the end of the match, the team's Swedish captain Rasmus Dahlin had been given a match penalty for boarding and Zach Benson's goal had been ruled out for offside.
