In western Philadelphia, Will Smith was born and grew up – that's something everyone knows who has heard the intro rap in the TV series "Fresh prince in Bel-Air". Therefore, he is now getting to name parts of 59th Street. Smith's old high school is located on what will now be called Will Smith Way.
The name "Fresh prince" was coined in that building, said Smith and pointed to Overbrook High School during the ceremony, which was attended by, among others, the city's mayor.
