Andersson was discharged from hospital on Friday evening, the day after the nasty fall during the Falsterbo Horse Show. The 35-year-old hit her head and broke her nose, but appears to be doing well under the circumstances.
And on Saturday she was selected for the Swedish World Championship team in show jumping. Petronella Andersson is one of three World Championship debutants - Wilma McMahon and Thomas Ryan are the others - who complement the star duo Henrik von Eckermann and Peder Fredricson.
"Together they form a really good team. If we manage to keep up the form, we will be able to go far," says national captain Henrik Ankarcrona in a press release.
Both von Eckermann and Fredricson were part of the Swedish team that won a historic World Cup gold medal in Herning four years ago. Von Eckermann also won gold individually.
The World Championships in Aachen, Germany, will be held from August 11-23.
Jumping: Henrik von Eckermann (Minute Man), Peder Fredricson (Alcapone des Carmille), Petronella Andersson (Odina van Klapscheut), Wilma McMahon (Cicci BJN), Thomas Ryan (Jezebeau BC).
