Siepen, born in 1962, is part of the government's new national council that will counter what is described as "a growing social problem," according to a press release.
Media entrepreneur Amelia Adamo and PR consultant Per Schlingmann also sit on the nine-person council.
According to the government, the council will contribute to "strengthening a working life where competence is valued regardless of age."
