Fredrik Kempe and Kay Pollak's musical has previously been performed in Stockholm and London, among other places. On September 17, it will be staged at Lorensbergsteatern in Gothenburg.
Philip Jalmelid and Tuva B. Larsen are back in their roles as Daniel and Lena from Oscarsteatern in Stockholm from 2018 to 2020. Sanna Nielsen plays Gabriella and Peter Apelgren makes his musical debut as the country merchant Arne.
"It still feels like the theater manager will call and say: 'Well, we were just kidding with you. Little Peter from Ucklum, did you take the easy way out?'" Apelgren says in a press release.
The musical is an adaptation of the Oscar- and Guldbagge-nominated film of the same name from 2004.
