An 18-year-old man from Norway has died in a skiing accident in Åre on Saturday.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but his life could not be saved, the police announced on their website.
According to the ski resort company Skistar, the accident occurred outside the piste area and mountain rescuers participated in the rescue operation.
The alarm was raised at 4 pm on Saturday.
This is the second serious skiing accident in Åre in a week. On Wednesday, a 65-year-old man died after crashing into a tree for unknown reasons.
