The alarm came at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Several people had heard gunshots in Riksby in Bromma in western Stockholm and called the police. A man was found at the scene with gunshot wounds. Ambulance personnel performed life-saving measures, but the man's life could not be saved. At 8:45 p.m., the police announced that the man had died at the scene and that his relatives had been notified.
No one has been arrested for the crime, police spokesman Mats Eriksson said. But the police are looking for one or more perpetrators.
We are working intensively, says Mats Eriksson.
Previously, the police announced that they assumed that the "perpetrator or perpetrators" had "left the scene in a car."
The police have been interviewing witnesses and residents in the area during the afternoon and evening.
