Police were alerted to the residential area just before 11 pm and when the patrol arrived at the scene, the injured man was found outdoors.
There were quite a few emergency calls. The shots have been preceded by some kind of verbal quarrel, then a number of people leave the scene, says Jens Andersson, press spokesperson at the police.
The victim was taken to hospital and according to the initial information, had been hit by several shots. At lunchtime, however, his condition was assessed as mild, according to the press service of Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
Two people have been arrested and detained, suspected of being involved. The incident is classified as attempted murder.
