A major rescue operation was launched off the German coast, but the person was not found, reports Ystads Allehanda.
The person fell from the ferry M/S Skania while it was off Rügen.
Rescue boats from Denmark and Germany participated in the search, as did a Swedish helicopter. The ferry Polonia from the shipping company Unity Line also participated in the search, the shipping company's freight manager told the newspaper.
