According to the alarm, there was a fire in the car; it was fully engulfed when the emergency services arrived, Helen Wickberg, team leader at SOS Alarm, told SVT Nyheter Västmanland earlier in the evening.
A total of two people were traveling in the vehicles. The driver of the passenger car died.
The accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m.
