The police were alerted on Wednesday evening that a man had been shot in the Kallhäll area.
When the patrols arrived, an injured person was found, police spokesperson Nadya Norton told TT.
She says the man was shot. An ambulance was sent to the scene and the injured man was taken to hospital.
The extent of the injuries is not known, but Nadya Norton says she was able to speak with the man.
A preliminary investigation into attempted murder and aggravated weapons offenses has been initiated. No suspect has been arrested.
