A person has been found dead outdoors in central Varberg on Wednesday. The area is cordoned off and a preliminary investigation into murder has been initiated.
However, the background to the death is currently unclear.
According to Göteborgs-Posten, the police were alerted to the scene shortly before 09.30 after the person was found by the public at Varberg's fortress.
We are on site and investigating, but I don't want to say more until we have gained an understanding of what may have happened, says Christian Brattgård, press spokesperson at the police, to GP.
