A person has been found dead outdoors in a locality outside Vänersborg. The police cannot rule out that a crime is behind the death and a preliminary investigation into murder has been initiated.
The body was found by private individuals at around 2 pm on Sunday.
The police are tight-lipped about the investigation and do not want to say, among other things, whether it is a woman or a man who has been found.
We do not want to release more information at this stage because we have certain investigative measures that we must carry out, says the police's press spokesperson August Brandt.
An area has been cordoned off for a technical examination.
