Man Detained After Fatal Shooting in Linköping's Skäggetorp District

A man in his 20s has been detained after the fatal shooting in the Skäggetorp district of Linköping on Tuesday evening, reports SVT News East.

At present, he is detained on reasonable suspicion, which is the lower degree of suspicion, says Chief Prosecutor Eva Nemec Nordh who is leading the preliminary investigation to SVT.

The suspect will be questioned during the day. Nemec Nordh says to SVT that the police are working "very intensively" with information gathering.

It was on Tuesday afternoon that the police were alerted about a suspected shooting in Skäggetorp. The suspected shooting is said to have taken place indoors. A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with what was described as very serious injuries, and shortly after 9 pm the police announced that he had died.
