”I am so impressed by the mothers we have on the LPGA tour, but I have never seen myself playing full-time on the tour after I become a mother”, writes Lindberg on her Instagram account and tells that she and her husband Daniel Taylor, who is also her caddie, are expected to become parents in March.

”I am ready to take a step back from tour life and focus on being a mother”, writes Lindberg, who became a pro in 2009.

The major highlight of her career was when she won the major tournament Ana Inspiration (now Chevron Championship) 2018. She also represented Sweden in the Olympic Games 2016.

As the reigning champion in the tournament, the Swede states that she plans to play Chevron Championship in the future, but that it will probably not be many more tournaments than that.

Lindberg's last appearance in a regular tournament on the US tour will be next week in Hawaii.
