The number of permanent employees is increasing, but there is still high unemployment, as shown by the SCB's labor force survey for May.

In May, the number of unemployed people in Sweden increased. The percentage share rose by a whole percentage point compared to last year to 9.7 percent.

"In May, the number of permanent employees increased. At the same time, unemployment remains at a higher level", says Elin Ottosson Bixo, statistician at the Labor Force Surveys at SCB in a press release.
