The Swedish Academy has decided to award the author and journalist Per Wirtén the Gun and Olof Engqvist scholarship for 2025.
The purpose of the scholarship is to "support literary activities including cultural journalism" and the amount is 200,000 kronor.
Wirtén is a contributor to Sydsvenskan and Expressen, and has written several books on social and political issues.
