The company Pepsico, which includes among other things Pepsi, reports weaker sales than expected for the third quarter.

The organic turnover increased by 1.3 percent, lower than the market's expectations, according to Bloomberg's compilation.

Pepsico has recently been faced with a number of challenges. In addition to economic uncertainty in the home market, it has also been in the spotlight when consumers choose healthier alternatives.

Furthermore, the US Health Minister Robert F Kennedy Jr has been critical of the country's fast food industry and wanted to see a reform under the slogan "Make America Healthy Again" (MAHA).

Today's report has no major effect on trading on the New York Stock Exchange, however, Pepsico is down 9 percent since the turn of the year, while the broad index S&P 500 has risen 15 percent during the same period.
