More cases of incorrect payments of, among other things, guaranteed pension to individuals who no longer live in Sweden have been discovered. This is reported by Ekot after reviewing decisions on repayment claims from the Pensions Agency.
Of the repayment claims that the agency has decided on between January and October this year, there are twelve cases where the assessment is that payments of guaranteed pension, housing allowance, and elderly support have been made for ten years or longer. This despite the recipient no longer living in Sweden and these benefits are only available to those who live in Sweden.
Anna Tenje (The Moderate Party), Minister for the Elderly and Social Insurance, tells Ekot that the government is slowing down to conduct a thorough census to get the population registration in order.
