Miami is not releasing any details about the contract, but according to a press release from his Swedish agency, last week's media reports were correct about a salary equivalent to 590 million kronor over four years.
"It feels great that it's over. Now I can go back to focusing on what I'm doing here right now - preparing for the season. I hope that in some way I can be a role model for young people back home, that they dare to dream and see that it actually works," says 25-year-old Larsson.
This is a substantial increase from the rookie contract Larsson previously had, which was worth 53 million kronor over three years.
According to the agency, he will be one of Sweden's highest-paid athletes.
