Two pelicans escaped on Thursday from Odense zoo in Denmark. It was through a hole in the net of the animal park's aviary that the two escapees made their way out.
A special pelican hotline for tips was set up and on Friday, one of the birds could be caught and taken back to the animal park.
It was sitting on a roof where we could not reach it, but then it flew down into a hedge where we could get a net over it, says zoologist Nina Collatz Christensen to TV2 Fyn after a several hours long effort to catch the bird.
The second pelican is, however, still on the loose and was last seen in central Odense.
