Peter Fredricson and the horse Alcapone des Carmille were faultless in both the basic round and the jump-off, but too slow. Therefore, Fredricson had to settle for a fourth place in the Global Champions Tour event in Vienna.

On Sunday evening, 40 of the world's best show jumpers gathered at Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna for the 13th stage of the prestigious Global Champions Tour.

The best of the Swedes was Peder Fredricson on the horse Alcapone des Carmille. They followed up the second place in German Riesenbeck two weeks ago, with a fourth place.

Fredricson started the day with a stable and faultless jumping in the initial round and was thus one of twelve faultless teams in the jump-off.

Also in the jump-off, he was faultless, but rode too slowly, which resulted in a fourth place.

The winner was the German Philipp Weishaupt on the Swedish-born horse Kilmister.

Lost the stirrup

Henrik von Eckermann, who rides the young horse Qasirah van de Reistenhoek, had a dramatic competition. The team made no knockdowns, but Henrik von Eckermann's foot slipped out of one stirrup, which contributed to him taking a few wider turns. The result was a time fault and they therefore missed the jump-off. The team came in 15th place.

Malin Baryard-Johnsson with her Hennessy, who is also considered a horse for the future, made a light knockdown on the fifth obstacle and thus recorded four faults.
