The blue-and-yellow team finished second in Sunday evening's late grand prix show jumping in front of Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna.
Fredricson was faultless in the decisive jump-off and was beaten only by German Sophie Hinners, who was 47 hundredths faster than the Swede on Iron Dames Combella.
"I took a chance at the last hurdle and had a good round, but in hindsight I would have had to take a gallop jump to the penultimate one to beat her," Fredricson said, according to the Swedish Equestrian Federation.
