The doting dad Johan Karlgren gets his own exhibition at Östergötlands museum in Linköping.
Karlgren started making pearl plates together with his daughter ten years ago, and got hooked on the craft. Now the hobby is his job, and the Instagram account "Dad's pearls" has over half a million followers.
"Without these platforms, I would just be a dad with way too much plastic in the shed. Now getting to reach a new audience with this exhibition – and in my home turf, too – feels incredibly fun", says Johan Karlgren in a press release.
In "The legend of Dad's pearls", visitors can, among other things, peek into a mini version of Karlgren's workshop, as well as navigate a labyrinth of pearl-adorned works on mixed themes from different eras.
The exhibition is on display between October 12 and February 23.
