Pogba tested positive for testosterone in November 2023. Then the 32-year-old was suspended by his then club Juventus, which he then terminated the contract with the same year.

The midfielder first received the toughest possible penalty, a suspension of four years from all football. But after Pogba appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas), the suspension was corrected to 18 months.

Thus, Pogba has been allowed to play football from March this year, but has been without a club. Until now.

Pogba, who won the World Championship with France in 2018, has signed a two-year contract with Ligue 1 club Monaco.

Monaco finished third in the league last season.

Paul Pogba has also previously played for Manchester United.
